Good morning, and thank you for joining me for day four of Substackmas ❤️ We’re over halfway through (!!!), and maybe I’m running out of ideas🤭…I guess only tomorrow will tell. Anyway, in the spirit of honesty and transparency, I need more time for incoming features, and I’ve been up for 15 hours on five hours of sleep xxx So, today, you’re getting some homework. Some of you may find this task easier than others — here goes.
I wondered whether I could actually do this or whether this would be deemed inappropriate, or even like, ‘illegal’ to Substack — or simply a copout. But then I remembered the stunts that people would pull on Tumblr and Twitter (RIP) and all the tricks people would play — jump scares and all that, you know. I concluded that I’m a woman now, I can do what I want, and ‘with great power comes great responsibility’, to cite the great Uncle Ben1.
My only concern is that there’s a particular demographic — that I have no resentment towards, by the way — that may not be so pleased with this (Swifties, I’m talking to you. Also, why did I discover today that Miss Girl has Christmas songs and even an EP? I don’t know, I just work here).
